Gorakhpur/ Lucknow:Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during the ‘Janata Darshan’ organised at the Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan in Gorakhpur on Wednesday, directed officers to ensure speedy and satisfactory resolution of land disputes.
The Chief Minister told officers, “No encroachment should be there on government’s or poor people’s properties. Also, if a poor person is found residing on government land, arrangements should be made for his rehabilitation and providing them benefits of the welfare schemes they are eligible for.”
The Chief Minister interacted with about 250 people at the Janata Darshan to learn about their grievances and gave necessary instructions to the officials concerned to address them on priority basis.
As many women complained about land-related problems at Janata Darshan, the CM directed police officers to take strong action against anyone found involved in unauthorised occupation of land. “Habitual land grabbers should be labelled as land mafia and strict action should be taken against them. People who encroach on the land of any poor should face punitive action so that it serves as a lesson to them,” he said, adding that the land disputes should be “resolved quickly and to the aggrieved party’s satisfaction”.
CM Yogi also said that if a poor person is residing on government land, then arrangements should be first made for his proper rehabilitation before getting the land vacated. Also, people should be made aware not to encroach on government land, he added.
The CM further told the complainants not to worry as disposal of their problems and their welfare are the top priorities of the government.
The CM gave instructions to police and administrative officers for finding prompt and effective resolutions to complaints involving the police as well as revenue-related and other complaints respectively.
The Chief Minister assured provision of all possible financial assistance through the government for the medical treatment. “No medical treatment should stop due to lack of money. The government will provide funds to the needy upon receiving estimates immediately,” he said.
The Chief Minister referred the applications seeking medical aid to the concerned officials and directed them to complete the estimation process soon and present it to the government.
The Chief Minister also gave chocolates and blessed the children accompanying the complainants during the Janata Darshan.
