The general secretary of congress Priyanka Gandhi will be visiting Allahabad and would be taking a dip in the holly Ganga on Thursday. On Thursday there is an important Hindu ritual of Mauni Amavasya. It is considered an auspicious day for taking a dip in the holly Ganga. She also met the local people as well after taking the holly dip.
The trip of Allahabad is her personal visit and not a political visit.
After the holly dip Priyanka Gandhi is scheduled to visit Anand Bhawan before leaving for New Delhi. Anand Bhawan has been the residence of Nehru however now it has been converted into the museum. The museum consists of artefacts from the freedom struggle of India. The museum is open for public as well and can be visited by anyone.
Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday in Saharanpur had to address the farmer’s rally. She has been making efforts to get a stronger support base in Uttar Pradesh before the state assembly elections.
The congress even plans to scrap of the new farmers law if they come in power this time. She even showed her support with the protesting farmers and requested them not to go back with their decision. She rather motivated them by citing the 1955 rule against hoarding of agriculture produce.
