राजस्थान चुनाव के बाद मुख्यमंत्री कौन बने की चर्चा के बीच जयपुर के नए नवेले बीजेपी विधायक की सबसे ज्यादा चर्चा हवाओं में थी। एक वीडियो वायरल हुआ था जिसमें विधायक महोदय मीट की दूकानों को बंद करने का फरमान देते नजर आये। उसी वीडियो के संदर्भ में जयपुर के करधनी थाने में शनिवार को इस्तगासा (कोर्ट के आदेश पर) के ज़रिए बीजेपी के विधायक बालमुकुंद आचार्य के ख़िलाफ़ एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है।
सूरजमल रैगर ने एफ़आईआर में बीजेपी विधायक बालमुकुंद आचार्य उर्फ़ संजय शर्मा के ख़िलाफ़ मारपीट करने और जातिसूचक शब्द कहने के आरोप लगाए हैं।
करधनी थाना पुलिस ने शिकायत के आधार पर भारतीय दंड संहिता (एफआईआर) की धारा 341, 323 और एससी/एसटी एक्ट के तहत बालमुकुंद आचार्य और पुरुषोत्तम शर्मा के खिलाफ़ मुक़दमा दर्ज किया है।
