‘पुष्पा’, ‘मिशन मजनू’ और आगामी ‘एनिमल’ जैसी फिल्मों में अपनी भूमिकाओं के लिए जानी जाने वाली रश्मिका मंदाना ने अपने डीपफेक वीडियो के वायरल होने के बाद प्रौद्योगिकी के दुरुपयोग पर चिंता व्यक्त की थी।
एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में, मंदाना ने कहा था कि वह वीडियो देखकर “वास्तव में आहत” हुई, जिसमें एक लिफ्ट के अंदर काले वर्कआउट ओनेसी पहने एक महिला को दिखाया गया है। मंदाना की तरह दिखने के लिए उसके चेहरे को कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (एआई) का उपयोग करके संपादित किया गया।
डीपफेक वीडियो ने भारत सरकार को सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफार्मों को एक सख्त अनुस्मारक जारी करने के लिए प्रेरित किया, जिसमें ऐसे डीपफेक को नियंत्रित करने वाले कानूनी प्रावधानों और संबंधित दंडों पर प्रकाश डाला गया।
