संसद सुरक्षा उल्लंघन घटना के कथित मास्टरमाइंड ललित झा ने गुरुवार रात दिल्ली पुलिस के सामने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया। इस मामले में पहले ही एक महिला समेत चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया जा चुका है। उन पर भारतीय दंड संहिता की धाराओं के अलावा, आतंकवाद विरोधी कानून यूएपीए के तहत आरोप लगाए गए हैं। ललित झा कल से ही फरार था।
गुरुवार की रात ललित झा एक अन्य व्यक्ति के साथ कर्तव्य पथ पुलिस स्टेशन पहुंचा और आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया। उसे स्पेशल सेल को सौंप दिया गया है।

13 दिसंबर 2023 को संसद में हुए आतंकवादी हमले की बरसी पर, सागर शर्मा और मनोरंजन डी नामक दो व्यक्ति शून्यकाल के दौरान दर्शक दीर्घा से लोकसभा कक्ष में कूद गए, कनस्तरों से पीला धुंआ छोड़ा और नारे लगाए। जल्द ही उन पर सांसदों ने काबू पा लिया, जिन्होंने दोनों व्यक्तियों को सुरक्षा कर्मियों के हवाले करने से पहले उनकी पिटाई की।
इस बीच संसद के बाहर एक पुरुष और एक महिला ने कनस्तरों से रंगीन गैस का छिड़काव किया और संसद परिसर के बाहर नारे लगाए। दोनों की पहचान अमोल और नीलम के रूप में हुई। इसके बाद चारों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।
पुलिस जांच में दो और व्यक्तियों- विक्की और ललित झा की भूमिका का पता चला। पुलिस ने संसद पहुंचने से पहले विक्की को हिरासत में ले लिया जिसके घर आरोपी गुरुग्राम में रुके थे।
मामले के एक अन्य आरोपी ललित झा ने कथित तौर पर बुधवार दोपहर 1 से 2 बजे के बीच व्हाट्सएप पर अपने सहयोगी के साथ हमले का एक वीडियो साझा किया था। झा को गुरुवार को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।
एजेंसी के अंदरूनी सूत्रों के मुताबिक, पूरे ऑपरेशन की सावधानीपूर्वक योजना बनाई गई थी।
इस बीच, संसद में सुरक्षा उल्लंघन के एक दिन बाद, इमारत के अंदर और उसके आसपास कड़े कदम उठाए गए और पुलिस और संसद सुरक्षाकर्मी परिसर में प्रवेश करने वालों की गहन जांच कर रहे थे।
