Formation of the Medical and Anti-Doping Management Committee

The Flying Kick Sports Association India has constituted a Medical and Anti-Doping Management Committee. Formed under the leadership of National President Dr. D. Suresh—a senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary to the Government of Haryana—the objective of this committee is to prevent athletes from consuming narcotics and performance-enhancing injections.
Dr. Karmbir Singh Kajal—Chairman of the Medical and Anti-Doping Management Committee, who also serves as a Food Safety Officer with Northern Railway and is a national medalist in athletics—stated that athletes often resort to narcotics in an attempt to gain a competitive edge on the playing field. He emphasized that this practice is fundamentally wrong, as the consumption of such substances ultimately causes physical harm to the athletes themselves.

Dr. Vivek Lohchab—Vice Chairman of the Anti-Doping Committee, a dental surgeon who currently serves as the Managing Director of Dr. Vivek Lohchab Clinic in Narela, Delhi—shared his perspective, remarking, “I myself have been a Taekwondo athlete.” He noted that athletes across various disciplines—including yoga, marathons, athletics, and martial arts—frequently consume narcotics. In light of this, he described the initiative by the Flying Kick Sports Association India—through its Anti-Doping Committee—to organize periodic awareness camps for athletes as an extremely significant and decisive step.

With these concerns in mind, the Flying Kick Sports Association India established the Anti-Doping Management Committee to provide athletes with proper education regarding medical protocols and anti-doping regulations within the sporting arena, and to curb the growing tendency among athletes to experiment with doping substances. To ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of this committee, the Association has appointed the following qualified individuals: Dr. Karmbir Singh Kajal as Chairman; Dr. Vivek Lohchab, Dr. Manu Gautam, and Dr. Pradeep Jha as Vice-Presidents; and Divya Parmar as a Member.
