बिहार के अररिया जिले में आज सुबह एक पत्रकार की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी। पीड़ित की पहचान बिमल यादव के रूप में हुई है, जो दैनिक जागरण में कार्यरत थे। अज्ञात लोगों ने उनके घर में घुसकर उन पर गोलीबारी की। रानीगंज स्थित उनके आवास पर पहुंचे चार लोगों ने उनके सीने में गोली मार दी। यादव की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। इस घटना से इलाके में हड़कंप मच गया। फिलहाल, पुलिस मामले की जांच में जुट गई है।

घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस अधीक्षक और क्षेत्र के सांसद सहित पुलिस अधिकारी घटनास्थल पर पहुंचे।
अररिया के एसपी अशोक कुमार सिंह के मुताबिक, “बिहार के अररिया के रानीगंज बाजार इलाके में सुबह करीब 5.30 बजे दैनिक जागरण के पत्रकार विमल की चार लोगों ने गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी। एफएसएल टीम मौके पर है। मृतक के शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए ले जाया गया है। आरोपियों को पकड़ने के प्रयास जारी हैं।”

लोक जनशक्ति पार्टी (रामविलास) के नेता चिराग पासवान ने कानून-व्यवस्था लागू करने में विफलता के लिए नीतीश के नेतृत्व वाली बिहार सरकार की आलोचना की।
उन्होंने कहा कि बिहार सरकार कानून व्यवस्था में विफल रही है। चिराग ने आगे कहा- बिहार मे पुलिस को अपराधी गोली मार दे रहे मुख्यमंत्री जी आप क्या कर रहे है। बिहार मे पुलिस के जवान अपने आप को असुरक्षित महसूस कर रहे है। आपको बस समीकरण बना कर इधर-उधर कर सरकार मे रहने की आदत हो गई है। बिहार की जनता को भूल गए हैं आप। पत्रकार की हत्या हो गई आप चुप हैं, क्यों?

बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री की ‘बिहार में अपराध अन्य राज्यों की तुलना में कम है’ वाली टिप्पणी पर एक सवाल का जवाब देते हुए उन्होंने कहा, “उन्हें (नीतीश कुमार को) उन पुलिस अधिकारियों के परिवारों को ये आंकड़े दिखाने चाहिए, जिन्होंने अपना एकमात्र कमाने वाला खो दिया है।”
वहीं राजद सांसद मनोज झा ने कहा, “जब भी ऐसी कोई घटना होती है, तो यह राज्य सरकार के लिए एक चुनौती होती है। लेकिन अगर आप समयसीमा को देखें, तो जांच पूरी हो जाती है और 24 घंटे के भीतर आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाता है। उन्हें (भाजपा) कुछ भी कहने से पहले मणिपुर को याद करना चाहिए।”

अररिया जिला पत्रकार संघ के अध्यक्ष अमरेंद्र कुमार ने कहा, “यह दिल दहला देने वाली घटना है। यह राज्य में कानून व्यवस्था की स्थिति पर सवाल उठाता है।”
