पश्चिम बंगाल के राज्यपाल सीवी आनंद बोस ने मंगलवार को राजभवन में राज्य का स्थापना दिवस मनाया। मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी की आपत्तियों के बावजूद आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में राज्य सरकार के किसी भी प्रतिनिधि ने भाग नहीं लिया। कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए राज्यपाल बोस ने कहा कि लोगों को हिंसा और भ्रष्टाचार के प्रति जीरो टॉलरेंस की नीति अपनानी चाहिए।
उन्होंने कहा, “बंगाल की उपलब्धि की भारत सरकार द्वारा सराहना की गई है … बंगाल के लोगों ने पूरे इतिहास में असाधारण लचीलापन दिखाया है…बंगाल के बेटे के रूप में, मैं आत्मनिरीक्षण करता हूं। हमें सही और गलत का चुनाव करना चाहिए। हम लोगों को हिंसा और भ्रष्टाचार के प्रति जीरो टॉलरेंस की नीति अपनानी चाहिए। ऐसा है हमारा बंगाल।”
उन्होंने आगे आम लोगों के स्वतंत्र रूप से मतदान करने के अधिकार पर जोर दिया।
राज्यपाल बोस ने कहा, “हम सभी को अपने मौलिक अधिकारों के बारे में पता होना चाहिए – संस्थान इसे सुनिश्चित करने के लिए बाध्य हैं। हमें अपने मौलिक कर्तव्यों से भी नहीं चूकना चाहिए – हम एक व्यक्ति के रूप में यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए बाध्य हैं। संविधान वह ठोस आधार है जिस पर हमारा लोकतंत्र खड़ा हुआ है।”
उन्होंने आगे कहा, “लोकतंत्र, सभी पहलुओं में, ‘लोगों का, लोगों द्वारा और लोगों के लिए’ है। और अगर विचार, विश्वास, भाषण, अभिव्यक्ति के पवित्र संस्थानों पर कोई प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष हमला होता है और इससे भी महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि मतदान करें, तो लोगों को एकजुट होकर उठना चाहिए।”
राज्यपाल बोस को लिखे एक पत्र में मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने राज्य के स्थापना दिवस को मनाने के एक तरफा निर्णय पर हैरानी व्यक्त की और कहा कि यह “किसी विशेष दिन पर स्थापित नहीं किया गया था, कम से कम किसी भी 20 जून को।”
ममता बनर्जी ने कहा कि पश्चिम बंगाल 1947 में सबसे दर्दनाक और दर्दनाक प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से अविभाजित बंगाल राज्य से बना था। इस प्रक्रिया में सीमा पार से लाखों लोगों का विस्थापन और असंख्य परिवारों की मृत्यु और विस्थापन शामिल था।
बनर्जी ने कहा, “स्वतंत्रता के बाद से पश्चिम बंगाल में हम लोगों ने कभी भी पश्चिम बंगाल के स्थापना दिवस के रूप में किसी भी दिन पर खुशी नहीं मनाई है। बल्कि, हमने विभाजन को सांप्रदायिक ताकतों के उन्मुक्त होने के परिणाम के रूप में देखा है, जिन्हें उस समय रोका नहीं जा सकता था।”
मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने कहा कि पश्चिम बंगाल की चुनी हुई सरकार या लोगों से परामर्श किए बिना ‘राज्य स्थापना दिवस’ मनाना हमारी संस्कृति और परंपरा की घोर अवहेलना है। हम बंगाल के इतिहास के राजनीतिकरण और विकृत करने की शर्मनाक कार्रवाई की कड़ी निंदा करते हैं।
टीएमसी के राज्य महासचिव कुणाल घोष ने कहा, “राज्यपाल इतिहास को विकृत कर रहे हैं। वह बंगाल के इतिहास, विरासत और संस्कृति का अपमान कर रहे हैं। ‘पश्चिम बंगाल दिवस’ के रूप में कुछ भी पहचाना नहीं गया है … सीवी आनंद बोस को इसके बाद पश्चिम बंगाल के राज्यपाल के रूप में बने रहने का कोई नैतिक अधिकार नहीं है। वे पश्चिम बंगाल का अपमान कर रहे हैं। सीएम ने पहले ही उन्हें लिखा है, लेकिन उन्होंने कोई जवाब नहीं दिया और बंगाल की छवि को नुकसान पहुंचाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।”
