New Delhi: The State BJP President Shri Adesh Gupta, while addressing trade representatives of various traders organizations at party office here today, said the BJP is the largest political party in the world and traders’ class has a very big contribution in this. Every trader associated with the party keeps the interest of the nation on the top with feeling of sewa hi sanskar. It was during corona pandemic traders gave their best in helping the needy.
Shri Gupta said the BJP has always been, is and will always stand with the traders community and keep fighting for their rights for which it is committed. During both the wave of corona it was the trading community which bore the brunt of electricity’s fixed charges. The party had raised this issue during the first wave but Kejriwal had only partially resolved the issue and traders were left to fend for themselves with state government not bothering about them at all, he said, adding but BJP is even now carrying on that fight.
The state BJP president said the Kejriwal government has decided to put the burden of CCTV cameras installed at various locations in Delhi on traders. It is indicative of the fact that Kejriwal government does not care for the interests of traders’ community. It is therefore imperative for traders to understand as to who is with them and who is against, he said.
Shri Gupta said the Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi believes in timely execution of any plan. In this context, he said this is why work is on in full swing to complete the Delhi Master Plan 2041 well before time. He said the BJP has given 52 suggestions to be incorporated in the plan and which take care of interests of small, medium and large scale traders besides rural and urban sections of the society and industrial class.
Prominent among those trade representatives present at the meeting were President of Delhi Trade Federation Shri Devraj Baweja, President of Delhi Transport Operators Association Mr. Rajendra Kapoor, Mr. Umesh Seth from Automobile Association Kashmere Gate, Mr. Vipin Ahuja, President of CAT, Delhi Chapter, Mr. Ajay, General Secretary of Rajouri Garden Main Market Association. Expressing their gratitude, the traders said that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi had recently withdrawn the increased license fee, withdrew the increased house tax and assured to withdraw many other taxes as well. They expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party saying their problems can also be solved by the party. Delhi state spokesperson and trade leader Shri Satish Garg, in-charge of party’s trade cell, Shri Shyam Sharma were also present in the meeting. The programme was presided over by Shri Ramesh Khanna, the convener of the newly appointed business cell.
