That is, you have to buy cylinders at an expensive price from tonight onwards. The price of LPG, like the rest of the gas and petroleum products, is decided by the government oil companies. The increase in the price of gas cylinders is the main reason behind the increase in international fuel rates and the value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar. The amount of gas subsidy is transferred directly to the government-listed beneficiaries in their bank accounts.Since January this year, the price of LPG has also increased amidst the continuous increase in the rates of Petrol and Diesel. The cost per liter of petrol has gone up to Rs 95.21 in Mumbai and Rs 88.73 in Delhi, while diesel has been increased to Rs 86.04 and Rs 79.06 in two cities respectively.Rates of non-subsidized LPG cylinders are usually reviewed on a monthly basis, and changes are implemented from the first day of each month. There is also a difference in prices between states due to different taxes of state governments.
