How does exercise beat mental stress and depression?
Exercising results in many health benefits such as protecting againsth eart disease and diabetes, improving sleep and lowering bloodp ressure. High intensity exercise releases the body’s feel good chemicals called endorphins, resulting in a high and elevated mood.
For most of us the real value is in low intensity exercise sustained over time. Such activity results in the release of growth factors which cause nerve cells to grow and make new connections. The improvement in brain function makes you feel better. Exercise supports nerve cell growth in the hippocampus improving nerve cell connections which helps relieve depression.
What is the difference between a gym workout and home workout?
One does not need to join a gym to exercise regularly. You can invest some amount of money on basic exercise equipment like free weights, Gym ball etc to get a variety of exercise options.
Gyms offer a lot of advantages like sturdy equipment, the right atmosphere, company to work out and also trained personnel who can guide with proper techniques.
From the point of view of a personal trainer, a person only needs dedication and enough motivation to exercise regularly; it does not matter whether they do it at home or the gym.
What is the best fat burning exercise and ideal diet for a working professional?
Endurance training involves activities which are performed during a longer time interval and which involve aerobic metabolism for example, functional training, cross fit, aerobics, etc. These help with maximum fat burning if performed regularly.
For a working professional, the ideal diet would be something which is practical and can be followed for long periods of time. It also depends on the person and their profession. For a person with a sedentary lifestyle a low carb – moderate protein diet would be beneficial and for a person in a highly physically demanding job such as athletes etc, a high protein-moderate fat and low carb diet would help.
What is the difference between personal training and normal gym workout?
A personal trainer helps with setting daily schedules for exercises, helps with motivation and support, helps with proper form and technique in each form of exercise so that one can avoid injuries and get a better result from a workout. They also help with customised diet for each client. As compared to a normal gym workout, a personal trainer is highly beneficial in terms of their expertise in handling difficult body types and channeling each person’s strengths.
