New Delhi The State BJP President Adesh Gupta has said the late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was such a prime minister of the country who redefined the development. Known as the country of villages, it was Vajpayeeji who initiated the work of linking all these villages of India with roads, he added. speaking at a naming function of Atal vatika park at Surajmal Vihar in east Delhi here today, he said compared to 60 years of the Congress rule what Vajpayee did as prime minister in six years will always be remembered and taking that forward Modi has resolved to fulfill the dream of Swacch Bharat. Shri Gupta planted a sampling of Rudraksh while dedicating the park to people.
Gupta said this park is a small gift from east Delhi Municipal Corporation to people. He said all three corporations under the BJP have resolved to ensure there is no garbage bin. Our endeavour is to make Delhi filth free and we will definitely achieve this. In east Delhi, 32 mobile compactors will be installed so that no garbage remains there, he added.
Local councilor Gunjan Gupta said this park for years had become a dumping ground for garbage and in past four years we did whatever we could within limited resources to improve it. She said our target is to install a statue of Vajpayee here in this park on coming December 25. Last year we had the national flag installed here, she added. Gunjan said the way he tried to expand the organization we decided to name this park after him impressed by his thoughts and vision. The way late Vajpayee Ji took the party from two to 303 MPs and took everyone together is a source of inspiration for us all, she added.
