In the new National Education Policy-2020, importance has been given to the skill development of students from the school level itself. In order to make a mark at the global level and realize the vision of self-reliant India, it has now become necessary to equip students with various skills along with teaching. In today’s time industry and education cannot be kept separately, both of them are moving forward together and in such a situation, the development of qualified, trained youth power can take place only through mutual cooperation. The Central University of Haryana is moving in this direction and for this it has specially started Training and Placement Center, this center is organizing training sessions for skill development along with providing employment opportunities. These views were expressed by the Vice Chancellor of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar in his address in the panel discussion organized by the Training and Placement Center. The book ‘Design of Energy Efficiency High Rise Building’ by Engineer Ashok Bansal, Vice Chairman, Galaxy Magnum Limited was also released, at this online event.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar in his address said that the institutes engaged in the work of industry and education training cannot be kept separately and together they can contribute for the betterment of the country and the world. It is our endeavor now that universities work closely with the industry and prepare India’s youth power according to the demands of the changing times. The new education policy is also in favour of this and it has been given prominence under the education system. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor invited the industry for research work in the University and said that we are ready to provide all necessary facilities for this. The Vice Chancellor said that the University is paying special attention to innovation, incubation as well as skill development of the students so that they can face the challenges in the field of employment after studies and contribute to the development of the country. Organized by the efforts of Dr. Vikas Garg, Director of Training and Placement and Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Deputy Director, this program started with the Kulgeet of the University. After this, Dr. Rajesh Dubey, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, gave information about the subject and told how in the changing times it has become necessary that after establishing synergy between educational institutions and industrial institutions both works together in the skill development of youth power. After this, the Deputy Director of Training and Placement Dr. Jitendra Kumar introduced the Chief Guest and Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar.

As far as the education system is concerned, it is necessary here also that we constantly prepare the students according to the demands of the industry, for which there should be a change in teaching-training process.
