छत्तीसगढ़ में एक आदिवासी नेता, मध्य प्रदेश में अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग (ओबीसी) से एक राजनेता, और राजस्थान में पहली बार विधायक बने एक ब्राह्मण – तीन प्रमुख राज्यों में मुख्यमंत्री पद के लिए भाजपा की पसंद 2024 के लिए पार्टी के व्यापक जाति संतुलन फॉर्मूले को दर्शाती है। तीन आश्चर्यजनक नामों को जोड़ने वाला सामान्य सूत्र राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ (आरएसएस), भाजपा का वैचारिक अभिभावक है; ये तीनों आरएसएस के करीबी माने जाते हैं।
तीन राज्यों में उपमुख्यमंत्रियों और विधानसभा अध्यक्षों के लिए पार्टी की पसंद से राजनीति और जाति की सावधानीपूर्वक तैयार किया गया मिश्रण का भी पता चलता है।
बीजेपी ने तीनों राज्यों के सीएम पद के जो नाम फाइनल किए है, उसमें 2024 के लोकसभा चुनाव की छाप साफ देखी जा सकती है। पार्टी ने तीनों राज्यों में मुख्यमंत्री के नाम का ऐलान करने के साथ-साथ 2024 के लिए सियासी जमीन तैयार करने की कोशिश भी है। साथ ही बीजेपी की नजर इन राज्यों में जातिगत समीकरण बैठाने की भी है।
राजस्थान में, सांगानेर विधायक भजन लाल शर्मा, एक ब्राह्मण, को मंगलवार को अगले मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में घोषित किया गया। जयपुर के पूर्व शाही परिवार की सदस्य दीया कुमारी और अनुसूचित जाति के नेता प्रेमचंद बैरवा को उनके प्रतिनिधि के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया। सिंधी नेता वासुदेव देवनानी को राजस्थान विधानसभा का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया।
मध्य प्रदेश में मोहन यादव की मुख्यमंत्री पद पर नियुक्ति ने पार्टी सदस्यों को भी चौंका दिया। 58 वर्षीय यादव, उज्जैन दक्षिण से तीन बार विधायक हैं और ओबीसी के एक प्रमुख नेता हैं। ओबीसी समूह राज्य की आबादी का 48 प्रतिशत से अधिक है। मोहन यादव के डिप्टी, जगदीश देवड़ा और राजेंद्र शुक्ला, क्रमशः दलित और ब्राह्मण समुदाय से हैं। पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर को अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया है।
छत्तीसगढ़ में, एक प्रमुख आदिवासी नेता, 59 वर्षीय विष्णु देव साई को मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में चुना गया। अरुण साव, जो साहू समुदाय (राज्य का सबसे बड़ा ओबीसी समूह) से हैं, को ब्राह्मण नेता विजय शर्मा के साथ उपमुख्यमंत्री के रूप में साई के मंत्रिमंडल में शामिल किया गया। पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री रमन सिंह, जो एक राजपूत (उच्च जाति) हैं, को जाति मैट्रिक्स को पूरा करते हुए अध्यक्ष के रूप में चुना गया।
